How much does Starlink installation cost in the UK?

Reviewed · UK Satellite Internet

You do not have to pay an installer to use Starlink. The kit is designed for self-installation. Additional cost depends on where the dish needs to go: a clear ground-level position is a different job from a roof mount with a difficult cable route.

A basic self-install

Use the app to check an accessible position, connect the kit and follow its setup instructions. The supplied stand can be enough to get started. For a permanent installation, the dish must be secure and the cable protected. Allow for a suitable mount if the supplied arrangement will not do.

What paid installation covers

Professional help is useful for roof access, drilling a sealed cable entry or mounting securely on the building. Ask for an itemised price covering the mount, access, cable route and any extra equipment. Improving Wi-Fi elsewhere in the house is often separate work.

Why there is no useful single national price

Access and materials differ between properties. Compare the work included, VAT and any travel charge. For example, a price covering a short cable route into the nearest room is not equivalent to one that also takes Ethernet to an upstairs office. Ask the installer to identify the optional work so you can decide what is worth paying for.
